Terms of Service for Wish Me

Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Wish Me ("the app"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

Description of Service

The app helps you track birthdays for people you know and reminds you before they happen. Birthday entries can be added by hand or imported from a screen-recording video you provide, using on-device text recognition. All of this data is stored locally on your device.

Your Content & Responsibility for Third-Party Information

Any name, birthdate, note, or gift idea you add about another person is "your content." You are solely responsible for having the right to keep that information for your own personal use, and for its accuracy. You agree not to use the app to collect or store information about people at scale, for any commercial purpose, or in any way that would violate another person's rights or another platform's terms of service.

Subscriptions & Payment

Some features require a paid subscription (monthly or annual), billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Subscriptions renew automatically at the price and interval shown at purchase unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription any time from your Apple ID or Google Play account settings — the app links directly to those pages under "Manage subscription." Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies, not by us directly.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to: use the app for any unlawful purpose; attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or bypass the app's subscription or security mechanisms; or use the app to harass, stalk, or harm another person using information stored in it.

Intellectual Property

The app, its design, and its original content are owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Names of third-party platforms (such as Snapchat or Facebook) mentioned in the app are trademarks of their respective owners; Wish Me is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by those companies.

Disclaimers

The app is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that reminders will always be delivered on time or at all (for example, if your device's battery optimization or notification permissions block them), or that imported text will always be read correctly.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including a missed or incorrect reminder. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Termination

You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or discontinue the app or any feature at any time.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of [your governing state/country — fill in before publishing], without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
